A couple of weeks have passed since Lead(h)er turned 3, but we haven’t stopped soaking in the stories of the women who have been impacted by the Strike a Match mentoring program. * One of the best post-party happenings was the number of pictures we saw shared on social media, and with each picture, we learned a little more about our mentoring matches. * This is one of those stories. This is Ashley and Jill. They’ve been together since the beginning and shared their story a couple of years ago, but were inspired to post a three year update. * This is what Ashley had to say: “This picture symbolizes 3 years - 3 years of love. 3 years of support. 3 years of friendship. 3 years of lessons. 3 years of mentoring. 3 years of belief in something more. 3 years of cheerleading.” * And we think those are some pretty great reasons to believe that mentoring matters. It’s #mentormonday and we have a match for you to meet! This is Alyson and Allie... Allie wrote to us last summer looking for a mentor who could help her develop her entrepreneurial endeavors. She is happily employed in the finance industry, but also had aspirations of starting her own business. Enter Alyson. As the owner of @platosclosetdavenport Alyson knows a thing or two about what it takes to move an idea forward and make it a reality. We just heard from Alyson and this is what she had to say: “I’m proud to share that my mentee, Allie, just this week launched her business of selling quality t-shirts online supporting organizations she believes in. I am so proud of her and am just happy to help her network now that she is up and running!” . We LOVE hearing about women celebrating the accomplishments of other women, so thank you Alyson!
